Bells announce the coming or arrival of any event, Christmas bell announces to all the people not Christmas at home but “Christ in the Home”.  Tolling of bells had their origin in the pagan winter festivals and celebrations. It was believed that the noise would drive away the evil spirits. Bells are rung to announce the birth of the messiah Jesus Christ to the world.

The Shepard’s gathered quite a few people in Bethlehem as they journeyed to meet the new born king. A little blind boy who sat on roadside heard the reports of the angel’s announcement, he begged the travellers to lead him to the Christ Child… No one was so kind to take him to Baby Jesus. After the crowd passed and the streets grew silent, the boy heard the faint tinkling of cow bells in the distance… He thought to himself, “Perhaps that cow is in the stable where Christ was laid” and followed the bell to the stable. There the cow led the boy to the infant Jesus….

Yes, the Bell welcomed the one who was lost from his Father’s House. Even today, He is calling you can you Hear? ” Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness” (Psalm 95:8). Let you come and abide in his house like a prodigal son who came back to his father. Bible says in Luke, He (Prodigal son) said ” I will return to my father “in his heart only, “And when he came to himself, he said,” (Luke 15: 17).  But when he turned to his father Bible says “His father recognised him when he is at a distance”. He went away and lived an ugly life with his friend; he worked as a servant, though his father identified him when he was at a distance.

[su_pullquote align=”right”] The Christmas bell announced Saviour is born here to redeem you, its calling you to come home. That’s why it is hanged on the Christmas tree.[/su_pullquote]

Even today Jesus is waiting for you in the same manner, He will recognise you, just say in your heart “Father i will come to you, i will return to my Father’s house. Jesus also said that’s why he came to the world ” For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10). The wonder of all is that with shame and repented heart the son was moving slowly to the father. But the Father ran towards him. He didn’t even pronounce a word what he think in his heart, but before that his father not allowed him to speak, He embraced him. Here a son arose and moved to Fathers home, but our Heavenly father sent His Son to the world to call you .What a lovable Father He is!  The Christmas bell announced Saviour is born here to redeem you, its calling you to come home. That’s why it is hanged on the Christmas tree. “Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness” (Psalm 95:8). Then you will be blessed like the son with all the blessings of our Father.
