Enter into his gates with thanksgiving

Nearer, my God, to Thee (Part 7)

[su_heading style=”1″][su_button link=”#” color=”#FF00FF” size=”5″ style=”5″ dark=”0″ radius=”10″ icon=” target=”blank”] Enter into his gates with thanksgiving [/su_button][/su_heading]

“For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.” (Isaiah 62:1) (KJV)

[su_pullquote align=”left”] He is our “Priest” we don’t have to go anywhere for our Priest is right near to us and we don’t have to go through cleansing process for there is no other purest thing in this world or Heaven above than the One through which we are cleansed! Yes it is the Blood of Christ![/su_pullquote]

Jerusalem is the holy city of God. Lepers, physically challenged or any abnormal persons are not allowed into Jerusalem in those days. At this time, Jesus travelled through Samaria and Galilee to Jerusalem where 10 lepers meet Him on the way and asked the Lord for healing.

“And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” (Luke 17:12,13)

Yes, they wanted to join the King and wanted to enter into His city with Him!! We could see Jesus never said anything about healing to them instead He asked them to show themselves to the priests!

“And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.” (Luke 17:14)

They believed in His words and started to walk and they all cleansed. Believing God’s word is what we should do in every moment of our life. We not only should read the Word of God but we should believe and inherit His words.

Only one leper came back to Jesus to thank the Lord for His mercy! And when Jesus saw only one is been back to thank Him the second cleansing is been done to him which was,

“And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” (Luke 17:19)

“Faith” we should have faith in the “WORD OF GOD”. For Paul clearly says,

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

Friends at that time Jesus Christ was not glorified! He never shed His blood for us. But now He Shed His precious blood and saved us. He is our “Priest” we don’t have to go anywhere for our Priest is right near to us and we don’t have to go through cleansing process for there is no other purest thing in this world or Heaven above than the One through which we are cleansed! Yes it is the Blood of Christ!

So will you come and be cleansed? Surely the Lord will take you to the New Jerusalem (Heaven) where there is eternal joy!

In this day of thanksgiving let us enter into His presence with our hearts filled with Praise and Thanksgiving for all that He has done and He is about to do in our life!!!

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4)
