Pleasing Offering

Pleasing Offering

[su_heading style=”1″][su_button link=”#” color=”#254117″ size=”5″ style=”5″ dark=”0″ radius=”10″ icon=” target=”blank”] Pleasing Offering [/su_button][/su_heading]

“And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.” (Mark 12:43) (KJV)

This is a very different incident, as we could read the life of Jesus Christ in all the four gospels, He never sat in Church just to see the offerings, He preaches the Word of God and then leaves synagogues. But here He sat against the treasury and sees the offerings.

[su_pullquote align=”left”] She gave her morning and night to the Lord! She never ceased to obey the Lord’s command. She never spent her life in unwanted conversations instead she spent time in mediation and in the Presence of God both day and night! This is what pleased God and her offering was accepted in the Presence of God![/su_pullquote]

Offering is the one which is given out of whole heart for the Blessings in our life! Here we could see many rich men offered but Lord was so pleased with the offering made by a poor widow. Why? Does that rich men doesn’t put enough? No not at all.

“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.” (Mark 12:41)

Bible says “they cast much!” but what is so special in this poor widow’s offering? Saints say these two mites are the two part of Day “Morning and Night”. Yes, she gave her morning and night to the Lord! She never ceased to obey the Lord’s command. She never spent her life in unwanted conversations instead she spent time in mediation and in the Presence of God both day and night! This is what pleased God and her offering was accepted in the Presence of God!

Paul says about a good widow,

“She that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.” (I Timothy 5:5)

Friends today let us examine our life we are so blessed and we do help poor and needy and we donate to church but does it please God? Not until you personally spend your time in the Presence of God! Yes more than anything God needs you! It’s not your money or riches it you that matters to God!

Will you then start spending time in the Presence of God from now on? Surely that will be the pleasing sacrifice to God!

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” (Psalms 1:1,2) Amen.
