Walk with the Lord

[su_heading style=”1″][su_button link=”#” color=”#F70D1A” size=”5″ style=”5″ dark=”0″ radius=”10″ icon=” target=”blank”] The Lord will guide you [/su_button][/su_heading]

“And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” (Isaiah 58:11) (KJV)

In the book of Prophet Isaiah, five prime names is been given to our Lord Jesus Christ which are,

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

[su_pullquote align=”left”] Although his beloved son was found after a long time he never went right away. He went to inquire his God with all his family!!! Whatever it may be I will never do anything without the counseling of the Lord. This is called zeal over the Love of God![/su_pullquote]

Wonderful Counsellor, is the Name which we are going to meditate today.

Jacob who is been given a name “Israel” father of the twelve tribes of the Lord’s people. Friends the Lord has blessed him abundantly that the Jesus Christ was born in the tribe of Judah, one of his son! He chose Abraham and kept His promises till the end! How blessed we are to serve such a faithful God!

Israel lost his beloved son Joseph when he was young and spent all his life in tears and sorrow until a news came from Egypt from his other sons that Joseph was alive and he was the most respectful leader in Egypt. As soon as Israel heard this his spirit was revived and he said I will go and see my son now,

“And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.” (Genesis 45:28)

He saw all the wagons which Joseph sent for Him and was so glad but did he go right away to see his son? No, Bible says in the very next verse,

“And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.” (Genesis 46:1)

Although his beloved son was found after a long time he never went right away. He went to inquire his God with all his family!!! Whatever it may be I will never do anything without the counseling of the Lord. This is called zeal over the Love of God! Friends are we doing this in our life? How big the happy news would be for our life, are we going to the Lord for counseling?

We could see Israel’s father Isaac who tried to live in Egypt because of the famine without the Lord’s counsel but the Lord appeared to him and warned him for the Lord has promised Abraham that He will be with Him!

“And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of” (Genesis 26:2)

[su_pullquote align=”right”] Even today friends wherever you go the Lord wants to come and be with you, he wants to dwell among us, Will you then go unto your eternal Father and be with Him? [/su_pullquote]

Israel never made that mistake and he never went only with his family but with the Lord Himself!!! Yes! He went into Egypt with the Lord his God!

“And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.” (Genesis 46: 3,4)

Even today friends wherever you go the Lord wants to come and be with you, he wants to dwell among us, Will you then go unto your Wonderful Counsellor and be with Him? Surely the Lord will guide you and keep you safe until you enter His Kingdom!

“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20,21)
